Cricket: Pakistan Beat England by 10 Wickets

LONDON: Pakistan won fourth cricket test match by 10 wickets against England at Oval on Sunday and presented a gift to the nation on its 70 Independence Day. Pakistan were bowled out for 542 in reply to England’s first innings 328, a lead of 214 runs, at tea on the third day of the fourth Test at The Oval on Saturday. However, on last day England Team went to Pavilion for 253 all out (79.2 overs) and set a target of 40 runs. Pakistan has achieved this target without losing a single wicket and won the match by 10 wickets. Pakistani Prime Minister, President , heads of political parties and whole nation gave congratulation on their excellent victory and tremendous performance on Independence Day.
Younis Khan made 218 after sharing a fourth-wicket stand of 150 with Asad Shafiq (109) and a ninth-wicket partnership of 97 with Mohammad Amir, who made a Test-best 39 not out. Yasir Shah obtained 5 wickets in the second innings of this match. Pakistani team completed her target in 12 th over. Sami 12 and Azar scored 30 , respectively. Younis Khan declared man of the match. He made his sixth double century.
England was initially leading by series 2-1 but now Pakistan equal the score ends 2-2, Pakistan is now on top of the world Test rankings. Younis’s sixth innings of 200 or more in Test cricket was a dramatic way for the 38-year-old to end a run of low scores.
