Glimpse of the monumental opening ceremony of IPL 6

The most awaited event in India this year so far, the opening ceremony of Indian premier League 6 (IPL 6) happened in an ostentatious manner in the gigantic Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata. The event had tremendous crowd pulling performers from Bollywood likeShahrukh khan, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and the international star rapper Pitbull.

Event comprised of Bollywood stars performing for some super-hit numbers, Pitbull rapped some of his internationally famous numbers and lot of young dancers performed some mind-blowing dances for some of the Rabindranath Tagore’s compositions.

Music director Preetham has composed the theme song of IPL-6 for which hundreds of kids who were wearing beautiful costumes and holding torch lights have given an awe-inspiring performance which truly pumped up the show.

Another spectacular performance came from the flying drummers who came from Europe and were absolutely sensational with their coordination and music they have produced.

Meanwhile, Bollywood baadshah Shahrukh Khan made his grand entry on to the stage with his famous number in “Don” and then performed for some of his famous dance numbers like Khali Khali Aankhen, Koi Milgaya, Chammak Challo and the biggest noise in the stadium was made during King Khan’s performance.

Other scintillating and crowd roaring performances came from Bollywood beauties Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. Katz performed for seductive numbers like Chikny Chameli, Touch me and looked like an angel in ghagra-choli whereas Deepika Padukone performed for some Punjabi beats like Angezi beat, yo yo honey singh and looked stunning in a black dress.

On the whole, opening ceremony of IPL-6 was an epic and it has set the perfect tone for the start of this cricket festival which is going to rock the Indian crocket fans for the next 50 days.
