Govt. habitual of arresting Shah: Freedom Party
Srinagar, Sep 4: (GNS) Expressing strong resentment over the arrest of senior resistance leader and its party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah, the Democratic Freedom Party spokesperson said the government has become habitual of arresting Shah without any justification.
“This is the reason that Shah since past two and a half years, has been either put under house arrest or detained on way, for a total of one year, two months and 17 days,” the spokesperson said.
According to spokesperson, Shah was on his way to Sopore, but “a large contingent of Police was waiting at Pattan to get him arrested.”
Criticizing government’s undemocratic policy, the spokesperson said that on one hand, Jammu Kashmir Police is not allowing pro-freedom leaders of Kashmir to move freely. “On the other hand, government, in order to mislead the people of Kashmir is decorating the music concert.”
Expressing wonder at government’s double standards, the spokesperson said those who are enemies of people’s leaders can never be the well-wishers of people. (GNS)
