Israeli Mossad spy killer of nuke scientist executed in Iran
Iran on Tuesday hanged a man convicted of killing a nuclear scientist in 2010 and for spying for Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, state media reported.
Majid Jamali Fashi was executed at Tehran’s Evin Prison, the IRNA news agency reported. The Iranian state prosecutor says he confessed to assassinating Massoud Ali-Mohammadi.
Ali- Mohammadi was killed by an explosion outside his Tehran home in January 2010. He was a particle physics professor at Tehran University.
“Majid Jamali Fashi, the Mossad spy and the person who assassinated Masoud Ali Mohammadi, our nation’s nuclear scientist was hanged Tuesday morning,” IRNA citing the prosecutor’s office as saying.
Iran has blamed Israeli and American intelligence for assassinating at least four nuclear scientists. Iran denies accusations it is developing a nuclear bomb.
