Nitaqat: July 3 deadline will not be extended

The spokesman for the Directorate General of Passports, Saudi Arabia confirmed that the deadline for correcting visa status for expatriates will not be extended, reported Akhbaar24.

However, those expatriates who started the correction process before the third of July will be given the chance to complete the formalities past the deadline.

This statement comes as a setback even as requests for extending the deadline are being applied by contractors. Thousands of foreign workers are still waiting to correct their status and these few remaining days will not be sufficient to process them all. The deadline is set for 3rd July, 2013.
