Pakistan Army: 24 Lady Officers completed Paratroopers Training
First batch of 24 lady officers of Pakistani Army led by Captain Sadia completed airborne course in Peshawar. Captain Kirn Ashraf lifted the shield and declared the best paratrooper. In an impressive ceremony held at Tarbella Major General Abid Rafique, General officer Commanding of Special Services Group awarded the Para wing (Insignia) to the successful ladies officers. At this historical moment, Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani. congratulated the officers for setting land mark, completion of training with high morale.
The officers jumped from MI-17 helicopter from the height of over 1500 feet and training was completed in Parachute Training School Peshawar.
Rigorous l training like, dragging while toeing with jeep, jumping from tower and daily tough Physical training were imported to the ladies’ officers in the four weeks course.
Captain Sadia become the first lady paratrooper of Pakistan Army.
