Peshawar: Major from Pak army martyred in terrorist firing

Two terrorists fired on the elements of security forces when they went to stop militant from collecting “Bhatta” from the public.   The militants opened fire and killed Maj Jehanzeb  on Tuesday. Two terrorists have also been killed when soldiers fired back. Just a day before another Major Danish from Pakistani Army embraced Shahdat as result o terrorists firing in Khanewal. Major Danish was also having one daughter and son.

The public and military sources are in the opinion that such type of attacks destroyed the prospects of meaningful peace negotiations between the government and the insurgents.

An attempt by representatives of both sides to meet and talk peace collapsed on Monday after insurgents said they executed 23 soldiers in revenge for army operations in the volatile tribal regions on the Afghan border.

“(The) exchange of fire continues,” the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement. The incident took place in Darra Adam Khel near Peshawar Maj Jheanzeb was the son of Lt Col Noor (Retd) from Multan. He was the father of three cute kids( one daughter and two sons)
