Let’s strengthen ideology of Pakistan
Allama Iqbal Ideology of Pakistan has been truly translated when Quaid-e-Azam demanded a separate country for the Indian Muslims. At that time, the Qauid also assured the world that minorities and all sects will live freely according to their religious obligations, norms and services. However, the foundation of the country was kept on Islam but his ideology about Pakistan was free from Talibanization. The constitution of Pakistan 1973 has been prepared in the light of Quaid’s thoughts, Quran and Sunnah.
Unfortunately, here in Pakistan, whenever politicians or any rulers failed in controlling crisis started crafting or spreading stories and ideologies of their own choices. In this context Cleric of Lal Masjid Maulana Abdul Aziz, PTI, The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), PML(N), TTP and some PPP leaders are riders of same boat and spreading Islam according to their choice. Every party tried to translate the ideology of Pakistan as suite to their agenda. The traumatic crisis at desert district of Tharparker (Sindh) has adequately exposed the real worth of political leadership uncovering the reality behind their metaphorical assertions to reach out to poor masses and save their lives, yet politicians leave no stone unturned in adding salt to psychological injuries of people by issuing controversial statements about ideological foundations of Pakistan.
In order to hide their criminal acts of negligence they tend to create speculations among the loyal and patriotic people of Pakistan by suggesting to them that the very slogan of Pakistan “Pakistan KA Matlab Kia = La-e-Laha-illallah” was not associated with Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Unfortunately PPP leader Shehla Raza on Capital TV stated that this slogan was never part of Pakistan movement and that she was ready to debate the issue at any forum. She went on to argue that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in his address had said that all sects are free to offer prayers according to their religion. Thus expressed her skewed ideas based on immature and reckless thoughts. She seems totally confused on Quaid-e-Azam’s vision for Pakistan and tried to puzzle the devoted audiences of Pakistan. She not only tried to distort the history but also injured the feelings of people by attempting to create misgivings about Quaid-e-Azam’s vision for Pakistan. National slogans and symbols are representation of collective national will. At the time of partition the entire nation used the slogan “Pakistan KA Matlab Kia = La-e-Laha-illallah” and through the power of this slogan they managed to get this country where the politicians are playing politics. Once Pakistan was created then all minorities and sects were free to follow their own sectarian practices and traditions of their faith. Confusion must not be created among simple people who love Pakistan and value its purpose.
Anyhow, Shehla Raza as PTI, JI and Maulana Abdul Aziz have tried to divert the attention of media and masses to hide their Govt’s gross negligence in providing food to people of Tharparker and save TTP. Shehla Raza is also a Muslim and she feels shy of saying that Pakistan was created on the basis of two nation theory which clearly explained that Muslims and Hindu were two different nationalities and Muslims needed a separate homeland to follow their Islamic norms and traditions. This is what simply the slogan “Pakistan KA Matlab Kia = La-e-Laha-illallah” explains.
Creating speculations on creation of Pakistan by PPP leader and trying to enforce Islam Shria of TTP choice by JI and PTI are equal to distorting image of Islam. Thus, Shehla Raza, Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Ameer Syed Munawar Hassan, Maulana Abdul Aziz and PTI leaders must correct her perception about the constitution of Pakistan and values of slogans used by founder of Pakistan.
Moreover, political top brass should take steps in prompting and strengthening ideology of Pakistan, while rechecking of syllabus, celebrating of national days and reckoning heroes’ contributions in spreading of Islam and saving Pakistan. The writer can be approach through zameer36@gmail.com
