According to the state interior minister Herminio Garza Palacios stated that shootings took place in Ciudad Victoria, probably due to conflict between drug mafia. They are involved in fighting for the couple of years.
In the first attack, armed men entered a house in a neighbourhood near the centre of Ciudad Victoria at 7am on Saturday morning, killing 11 members of one family. In this attack two of the dead were men and the other victims were all female, five of them minors, the state government said.
In the second attack a house was hit in further east about 45 minutes later, the official representative revealed.
The city is facing problem from drug mafia and many groups are dagger drawn with each other since ages. The local and state security agencies failed to control the drug mafia. Being bordering state to the north, Tamaulipas has long been a major transit point for traffickers moving drugs and people into the United States.
