The High-frequency Active Auroral Research Programme (HAARP)

HAARP is a congressionally initiated programme jointly managed by US Air Force and US Navy. The programme’s purpose is to provide a research facility to conduct pioneering experiments in ionospheric phenomenon and to assess the potential for developing ionospheric enhancement technique for communication and surveillance uses.

Ever since the existence of HAARP became public, a number of independent researchers have warned that the programme has a secret agenda including weather modification, mind control, hi-tech military experiments and the triggering of earthquakes. Conspiracy and paranoia a side, HAARP appears to be the latest weapon of mass effect in the realm of Unconventional Warfare.

Triggering of Earthquakes through HAARP

It has even suggested that the devastating tsunami of 26 December 2004 created by the magnitude 9.0 earthquake which killed more than 300,000 people may have been the result of HAARP.
Earthquake of magnitude 9.1 was the most powerful known ever to hit Japan on 11 Mar 2011. The earthquake triggered giant tsunami waves which caused major damage to Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant complex. Reportedly clandestine nuclear research work was being carried out in the underground facilities of Fukushima complex. In an extremely farfetched scenario, HAARP may have caused this massive earthquake though it has not yet been suggested in the electronic / print media.
