Afghanistan: UAE Ambassador injured in Kandahar Blast

Terrorist carried out bomb blast in the southern city of Kandahar when meeting was going on between senior official and diplomats from UAE. The ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Afghanistan wounded along with 39 other people, including the provincial governor. At least seven people killed in this blast.
In a statement, the UAE foreign ministry said it was “following the heinous terrorist attack on the guesthouse of the Kandahar governor which resulted in the injury of his Excellency Juma Mohammed Abdullah al-Kaabi, UAE ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and a number of Emirati diplomats”.
The diplomats, who were in Kandahar on a humanitarian mission, were expected to open a number of UAE-backed projects as part of an aid programme to Afghanistan.
Although, there was no immediate claim of responsibility but there is might be some covert hand interested in exponentiation of insecurity in Afghanistan.
Earlier on 1o January 2017, two suicide blasts near Afghanistan’s parliament in Kabul killed at least 30 people and wounded 80, in an attack claimed by the Taliban. On the same day in a separate incident a suicide bomber on foot struck in the southern Helmand province, killing at least seven people, according to officials.
Although, there was no immediate claim of responsibility but there is might be some covert hand interested in exponentiation of insecurity in Afghanistan.
However, as per local sources, intensification of blast wave to prevent Russia and Central Asian countries becoming the part of design against CPEC project. Afghan based Indian terrorists and agents might be behind this current wave.
