Motives behind Proxy War against Pakistan

On the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan 2017, three major cities of Pakistan were rocked by the foreign sponsored terrorists. In this security turmoil, 82 innocent individuals, including security elements, embraced Shahadat (Martyrdom) and over 300 individuals were injured in three different blasts and miscreant firings in Parachinar, Quetta and Karachi. Out of these, two blasts took place with the time interval of three minutes in Parachinar, in which 67 individuals were martyred and many injured. In Quetta and Parachinar, terrorists used two explosive laden cars. In another incident, some unknown terrorists killed four individuals of local police in Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city and financial capital. Most of the victims were Muslims buying food for Iftar, the meal that marks the end of their daily fasting, in the holy month of Ramadan. None of the organizations claimed responsibility for the attacks in Quetta and Parachinar, a city which lies just near the border, with Afghanistan.
Nonetheless, intensification of militancy in Pakistan is a clear cut indication of a planned proxy war against Pakistan and China. The recent militant actions were probably linked to the death sentence of Commander Kulbhushan Yadav announced by military court, incidents of suicidal blasts in the months of May and June 2017 in Afghanistan and prevailing disappointment amongst the terrorists’ groups as a result of conduct of recent success achieved by the security forces in ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad’.The operation was started on the direction of General Qamar Javed Bajwa, siting Pakistan Army Chief in last week of February 2017. All tiers of security forces, including Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Army, Civil Armed Forces, Rangers, Frontier Corps and LEAs are participating to consolidate the success achieved in previous operations and cleaning up of militants fighting against the motherland.
According to officials and media reports, Pakistan security forces headed by the Army and ISI setups have shown excellent and encouraging results during operations cleanup in Balochistan and the rest of the country too. As per the ISPR’s Press Release of June 8,2017, security forces in a successful operation in Mastung destroyed network lined to ISIS, a terror group.
The operation conducted in Mastung from 1-3 June after getting information that 10-15 terrorists of a banned outfit Lashrake-Jhangivi Al-Almi (LeJA) hiding in caves near Isplingi ( Koh-i-Siah/Koh-i- Maran) 36 Kilometer South East of Mastung. Reportedly LeJA was making efforts for communication with ISIS (Daesh) and intended to facilitate establishment of ISIS foothold in Balochistan. During this operation the security forces destroyed IED-making facility inside the cave and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition which included 50 kilograms of explosive, 3 suicide bomber jackets, 18 Grenades, 6 Rocket Launchers, 4 Light Machine Guns,18 small machine guns, 4 sniper rifles, 38 communication sets and huge ammunition of various types.
During the same period i.e. June 2017, in a suicide car bombing, terrorists targeted Afghan soldiers lining up outside a bank in southern Helmand province, killing at least 29 people and 50 wounded including members of the police and army, civilians and staff of the New Kabul Bank branch where the attack took place.
The above said incidents also reflect that either ISIS is directly or under the garb of stated organization, CIA, RAW, NDS and Mossad are jointly operating against both Pakistani and Afghan nations, with a view to gain their objectives while cashing the differences between those two countries, which are already at daggers drawn to each other since a couple of decades. International hostile intelligence agencies (RAW, CIA, Mossad, MI-6 and National Directorate of Security {(NDS) (Afghan Intelligence Agency)} are trying to cash the religious differences in Muslim communities and exploiting the same to complete the objectives of their sinister design against Muslim Ummah and China.
As already mentioned in my articles, “Foreign Militancy in Balochistan” published in 2011 and 2015, insurgency in Balochistan can be categorized mainly into two types; Sectarian Militancy and Rebellions’ Movements. In the first category, weakening of Islamic unity through sectarianism is being promoted by anti-Islam forces but afterwards unfortunately some of the Muslim countries started backing sectarian organizations of their own choices in Pakistan. Thus, Shia-Sunni killing throughout the country and targeting Hazara community is being carried out by the organizations Jaish-ul-Islam, Siph-e-Sahiba and Imamia. But factually speaking, RAW and CIA are involved in exploiting such like activities and using the religious elements to create instability and insecurity in Pakistan.
In the second category, rebellions groups of BLA, BNA are purely being funded by CIA, RAW, NDS to achieve their nefarious goals. Reportedly, all these militants are sheltered in Afghanistan, whereas India is imparting regular commandos’ training to them. In this regards, Pakistani intelligence resources have also confirmed that US is providing tacit support to the rebellions’ leaders and sponsoring militancy in Balochistan too. Fake Baloch Society of North America organized one-day international conference about Balochistan on April 30th, 2011 in Washington DC. Actually, the Western and Indian media are deliberately playing up with Balochistan region for guarding their strategic interests of containing China, capturing CARS’ resources, pressurizing Pakistan to abandon Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline Agreement and restricting Islamabad from developing her strategically vital Port Gwadar”.
“US, UK, India and to some extent Afghanistan directly or indirectly are rendering assistance and platforms to the rebels for launching their nefarious activities in the region. U.S. considers Balochistan as a vital target of her covert strategy of getting control of Asia”.
Another repercussion of the blasts in Afghanistan could be that certain global actors (USA and India) tried to create insecure environment, thereby preventing to join $54 billion CPEC project. The narrated hypothesis seems to be closer to the reality since the innocent Afghan people were targeted when Afghan government extending her hands to enter in CPEC Project as a result of Sino-Pak agreement.
Here, the poor security situation in Indian held Kashmir and Baloch militants’ actions against Pakistan’s solidarity cannot be put a side. Because currently, young Kashmiris are fighting for the rights of self-determination and desire freedom from illegitimate Indian rule in Kashmir. With regards to Balochistan and Karachi situation, it is quite evident that US, RAW and National Directorate of Security {(NDS) (Afghan Intelligence Agency)} have close cooperation in creating unrest and insecurity through bomb blasts, suicidal missions, sectarianism and targeting killing in Balochistan, KPK and Karachi. These agencies are funding BLA, BNA and MQM England to foment terrorism. In this context, Indian Spy (Commander Kulbhushan Yadav) under death sentence currently in Pakistani custody has confessed in recent statement that thousands of dollars have been provided to him for handing over to BNA, MQM and BLA for completion of tasks allotted by RAW. It is also mentionable here that in 2009 and 2016 former PM Yousaf Raza Gillani and sitting Primer Minister Nawaz Sharif have handed over the dossiers of evidences of Indian involvement in Balochistan’s militancy to former Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and UNO, respectively.
In fact, Pakistan is a country that faced major blunt of global war and suffered with heavy tolls of lives and material while countering terrorism. But unfortunately, USA and its allied Afghan government has always undermined positive role of Pakistan and its sincere efforts of eliminating terrorism. They always, tried to malign Islamabad in the instability of Afghanistan. Notably, in war against terrorism, Pakistan has lost over one lac lives since 2004 and now Trump administrations, like its predecessors once again, started yelling the song of “Do More”.
In this context, on 20 June 2017, two top lawmakers have accused Pakistan of supporting terrorism and urged the Trump administration to cut military aid to the country, saying the US should make it more difficult for Islamabad to get its hands on American weapons. They also threatened that Drone attacks once again will be expanded too in the Pakistani territory. All this deliberate pressure on Pakistan is being built by US in consultation with her ally India. The US State Department on 26 June 2017, designated Syed Salahudeen, the head of Kashmiris liberator group Hizbul Mujahideen, as a specially designated global terrorist. Notable, point of concern is that at this occasion US state department did not dare to ask or throw light on Indian killing and raping of Innocent men, women and children in occupied Kashmir. Thousands of Kashmiris, young people and children have been made blind through pallet guns firing just in the past one year but again global power failed to utter even a single sentence about the brutality of Indian security forces in Kashmir. Similarly, both so called democratic allies only talked about Islamic radicalism but failed to say any word on Hindutva’s actions against Christians, Muslims and Sikhs. Even, Trump and his administration did not say a single world about the rights of Christian community in India. The US administration again forgotten the killing and burning of hundreds of Christians in Orissa (Indian state) by Indian forces in 2007. Anyhow, Pakistan Foreign Office condemned the US declaration of a Kashmiri leader Syed Salahudeen as terrorists.

Therefore, from Indo-US nexus, it is very much obvious now that both the states have some sinister design to attain their objectives, have started the proxy war against Pakistan and China. The objectives could be to slow down the progress of CPEC project, threatening development works in Gwadar Port and connected areas of Balochistan, working over Greater Balochistan, to create political instability, threatening Sino-Russia-Pakistan emerging block, fomenting terrorism and fueling sectarianism, suppressing Kashmir movement in Indian occupied Kashmir and gain regional dominance.
However, on June 25, 2017 while talking to the Chinese Foreign Minister, Mr. Wang Yi and General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) stressed on regional security with special reference to Afghan situation and CPEC. The Chinese foreign minister acknowledged Pakistan Army’s sacrifices and contributions towards peace and stability and its prospective role towards regional economic development. Here, COAS made it clear that Pakistan has done too much against war on terrorism and will continue to positively contribute towards regional peace and stability. He thanked Foreign Minister for his visit and unwavering Chinese support to Pakistan. Later on, while commenting on US announcement of once again expanding of drone strikes, General Qamar Javed Bajwa stated that US instead of directly attacking has to share “actionable intelligence” with Islamabad and said unilateral actions, like drone strikes, are “counterproductive and against the spirit of ongoing cooperation and intelligence sharing being diligently undertaken by Pakistan”. It is mentionable here that according to The Bureau of Investigation, since 2004 in 427 CIA’s drone strikes around 4017 people including terrorists have been targeted, whereas out of these 969 innocent civilian and 207 children have also been killed. On June 27, 2017 General Bajwa again stressed that our enemy failed to divide us on ethnic and sectarian basis, while addressing to the soldiers on border areas he emphasis that for all martyred and injured were part of us and the responsible of blasts soon will be brought to the justice.
To tackle the ongoing proxy war, Pakistan has to fight back on external and internal fronts. On external front, there is a need to take few immediate steps like: Firstly, to conduct an organized campaign of exposing foreign hands in Balochistan militancy. Secondly, Indian brutality against women, men and children in Indian Occupied Kashmir. Thirdly, restoring confidence and strengthening relationship with Iran. Fourthly, making efforts of lessening the differences between Islamic countries. Moreover, Russia-China-Pakistan block be emerged to look after common regional and international interests. Sixthly, Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline Project to be completed on priority, last but not the least Pakistan should once again handover the dossiers of complete evidences of Indian involvement in Pakistani in militancy and brutality against Kashmiris to UNO, OIC and human rights organizations.
On the internal front, Pakistan should immediately take the steps like: speeding up the fencing of International border with Afghanistan, CPEC Project should be completed on priority, local Baloch parties should be taken into confidence and elevating of poorer lives while providing them education, skills, employments, medical facilities and other allied amenities. Moreover, the Council of Common Interests (CCI) must ensure the implementation on Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan programme in true letter and spirit. Government should register the religious madrasas and their accounts should be regularly nominator and audited. Lastly, any kind of militancy should be dealt with iron hands and Indian Spy Commander Kulbhushan Yadav should be immediately be hanged till death.
