Pakistani COAS Raheel Sharif calls on CIA Director John Rennan

 Chief of Pakistan Army Staff General Raheel  Sharif paid a visit to CIA Headquarter and discussed security challenges with  Director CIA John Rennan. He emphasized need of   permanent stability and requirement of conducive environment in region for re-initiating Afghan leadership reconciliation process. The CIA Director lauded the accomplishments of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, saying it will have a positive impact on security calculus. Rennan also appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for reconciliation and talked about opportunities for enduring regional peace.

Earlier, COAS had arrived Washington on November 15 for 5 days official visit of the United States of America. General Raheel is also scheduled to pay a 3 day visit to Brazil and will spend a day with Pakistan soldiers in Ivory Coast United Nation Pakistan mission.
