Star Wars Director J.J. Abrams Says Production on Film No. 7 Will Begin in Early 2014

top starsGood news was announced over the weekend by director J.J. Abrams.

The Hollywood vet revealed at the Producers Guild of American’s Produced By conference in Los Angeles that the seventh installment of the hit franchise will begin filming in early 2014.

“We are, most likely, if all goes as planned, going to be moving to London at the end of the year for the Star Wars movie,” he said. Abrams will move his wife and three children overseas during the film’s production.

While most details have been top secret about the highly anticipated film up until this point, Abrams was keen on releasing the film’s production start date.

“The key to moving forward on something like this is honoring, but not revering what came before,” he added.

The flick, which is still slated for a summer 2015 release, has a script from Oscar winner Michael Arndt of Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine fame.
