Supereme Court Release the Details of money given to media houses, journalists

The Supreme Court issued an order on Monday for making public a list of media houses and journalists who had received government money in the name of national security after it is testified by the information ministry to be a true document.

The Ministry has filed list ‘A’ containing 282 items on which an amount of Rs.1,77,988,450/- has been spent approximately.

List ‘B’ in respect of items on which privilege/secrecy is claimed has also been filed in Court. This list contains 174 items on which a sum of Rs.8,68,13,633/- has been spent.
